Today in the news there is much talk of the philosophy of Juche. That is the guiding philosophy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The Fake News media will tell you that the DPRK's guiding philosophy of Juche is a barbaric philosophy that promotes personality cult, state tyranny, totalitarianism, fascism, etc. But what actually is Juche?
Juche was invented by the First Supreme Leader of the DPRK, Eternal President Kim Il-sung. Kim Il-sung outlined the three principles of Juche:
1. Political independence
2. Economic self-sustainance
3. Self-reliance in defence
From here, Kim Il-sung developed the philosophy of Juche to mean that human beings are the masters of our own destinies, and this is what gives us the advantage over other animals (NOTE: I am not condoning any form of animal abuse such as the meat industry, but simply stating that humans and animals are different, and one major difference is that animals do not have the brain capacity for self-determination; In fact, this shows that it is our duty to protect and defend animals as animals can not do that for themselves). There have been many philosophies which have stated similar things about the value of humanity, such as Humanism. However, none have claimed that human beings are the masters of everything as Juche thought has, and it is for this reason that it is such a revolutionary philosophy.
This philosophy has led to great construction of socialism in Juche Korea, despite relentless sanctions and blockades from imperialist powers. Under the guidance of the great leaders Kim Il-sung, Kim Jong-il and Kim Jong-un, the Korean workers, farmers and intellectuals have realized that they do not need to cave in to the parasite of capitalism so that they may become reliant on formerly hostile powers, because they are the masters of their own destiny and can lead the way forward to happiness and prosperity in their socialist country.
The country now has free education, free housing, free healthcare, cheap food, low-cost public transport and no taxation thanks to the policies implemented under the Juche philosophy.

Re: Juche
The problem is that working together and trade promotes peace. You don't make war with a country that is a lucrative trading partner. Isolation promotes alienation and paranoia.
So, I don't think Juche is very useful to international diplomacy and world peace given the eccentricities of human psychology.

Re: Juche
It isn't the DPRK who has been pushing for other nations to impose sanctions on them and to label them as part of the "Axis of Evil". Rather, it is the DPRK who love peace and are now taking part in south Korea's winter Olympics and engaging in talks to promote peace and love between the two countries.brimstoneSalad wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2018 10:57 pm The problem is that working together and trade promotes peace.
