Women's Rights under Socialism and Fascism

Post by Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz »

This is a video about women's rights under the socialist regimes of Maoist China and the Soviet Union and the fascist regimes of Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy and Francoist Spain.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYFA2wCDw7A

It is not at all surprising how women's rights were suppressed under fascism, but very enlightening to learn how they were upheld under socialism.

A flawed ideology with a few progressive ideals is not unique.

A certain prophet of a religion was once seen as a champion of women's rights because he forbade the practice of allowing women (who at the time gave birth in a ditch away from their family) to discard female children upon birth. Of course this same "prophet" also married a six year old girl. so maybe he had a secondary reason for securing their safety..

North Korea is pretty progressive on feminist issues, even requiring women to spend 7 years in the military upon their 18th birthday.

I can't figure out why western (US) and eastern (Europe) women aren't trying to obtain citizenship in North Korea.

It is a very successful ideology and you can look at the DPRK, Allende's Chile and Attlee's Britain to see for yourself.

Mohammed was not a socialist and not supportive at all of women's rights.

The military draft in North Korea is for both men and women. There is also a draft in South Korea, a capitalist country.

There are many people who are trying to obtain citizenship for the DPRK, a wonderful country.

Very proud of the DPRK for its latest missile test. It should hopefully keep the yankee pigs at bay!!

(PsYcHo ponders that Zzzzzzzzzzz is actually Kim Jon Un. :?: )

Well perhaps we can steer this topic to a bit of seriousness-

I think that if I were the head of North Korea, I would act just as Kim has; preparing nuclear missiles and making it clear I am willing to use them.

I believe it is horrible how he runs the DPRK, (you know, slave labor and three generation imprisonment), but considering how 'Murica has treated other heads of foreign countries, he's likely acting on the best path to ensure his country isn't carpet bombed and farmed for oil/other natural resources.

If a list were made of countries that America "tried to help", and thus fell into absolute chaos, it would have more lines than our Stars and Stripes.

Agreed on all your points except slave labor and three generation imprisonment. These are not real things in the DPRK and it is a defender of human rights.

I wish I was Kim Jong-un!
