Dinesh D'Souza is a big liar

Dinesh D'Souza is a right-wing conservative pundit who does not know what he is talking about.

Now this D'Souza is claiming that Hitler and the Nazis did not persecute homosexuals!!

D'Souza claimed in a tweet: "Hitler was NOT anti-gay. He refused to purge gay Brownshirts from Nazi ranks saying he had no problem as long as they were good fighters."

What D'Souza has said is an insult to homosexuals who were persecuted under Hitler's vile bigoted regime. Around 10,000 homosexuals were killed in the holocaust.

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum states:

"After taking power in 1933, the Nazis persecuted homosexuals as part of their so-called moral crusade to racially and culturally purify Germany. This persecution ranged from dissolution of homosexual organizations to internment of thousands of individuals in concentration camps. Gay men, in particular, were subject to harassment, arrest, incarceration, and even castration. In Nazi eyes, gay men were weak and unfit to be soldiers, as well as unlikely to have children and thereby contribute to the racial struggle for Aryan dominance."

By claiming that Hitler was not anti-gay as he did not purge gays from the brownshirts, D'Souza is doing the equivalent of saying that Hitler was not anti-semitic because his close friend and chauffeur Emil Maurice had Jewish heritage.

Furthermore, Hitler did purge gays from the brownshirts in the Night of the Long Knives. Obviously, what factored more was the fact that the German Army was threatened by the SA, and that there were a growing faction of left-wingers (Strasserists) in the SA that Hitler wanted gone, however, most historians agree that homophobic Hitler was opposed to Ernst Rohm's homosexuality and this was a big factor.

In conclusion, Dinesh D'Souza is not a historian. An adolescent who spent all the time in his history lessons making paper aeroplanes would understand more history than D'Souza. He is a liar and a swindler who is going to cheat conservative nitwits out of their money with his new book "The Big Lie". I suggest that you do not buy it as you shouldn't fund this man's claptrap, instead, find a way to download a copy of it off of the internet because you'll probably get a good laugh out of D'Souza's stupidity.

I think he is just trying to claim that Hitler was a progressive, but it wouldn't surprise me.
