Theresa May's Magic Money Tree for the DUP

Post by Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz »

I remark with pain that the Conservative Party's slander of Jeremy Corbyn's sensible policies for the many and not the few as being unrealistic as they cost too much money which could only come from a magic money tree has been proven to be folly recently, as their new deal with the DUP has costed £1.5 billion.

Funding this coalition of chaos has costed more than the combined amount of Labour policies of nationalising the Royal Mail (£0.8 billion), Nursery access for all children (£0.33 billion), 10000 new police officers (£0.3 billion) and abolishing tribunal fees (£0.01 billion).

This wasteful spending which could have gone to creating a better society for the many and not the few has instead gone to funding the diabolical alliance between two parties. One, a gathering of pigs who wish to suck the life-blood out of the disabled and the working classes, and seek only to fund their own selfish interests, stabbing any other pigs in the back if they must. The other, a grubby little far-right creationist climate-change-denying pro-life choir singing the same lyrics as the pigs but with the tune of homophobia and bigotry.

We will not stand for this. The Tories and DUP go against our fundamental human rights and murder the disadvantaged and disabled in cold blood. It is time to put them on trial for crimes against humanity and make Jeremy Corbyn the Prime Minister. We must establish a Labour Party in Northern Ireland to represent the Left-wing Unionists also.

Long live the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland! Long live Comrade Jeremy Corbyn! Long live the Labour Party!

Agree with all of that, the record of death and deprivation by a chaotic austerity government is damning, the bill for wrecking the peace process in Ireland, to them cheering the voting down of public sector pay increase is only the latest of it but no less sickening.

As to where we go from here, you might be missing a little information, I'm pretty sure Republic of Ireland and Great Britain's political parties can't run in the province, because of the power sharing, and the laws that only affect Ireland proper and only affect UK proper, either way it would be politically untenable, you need to let NI navigate those waters, and negotiate from a distance, not do what May is doing now and handing one side a blank check in order to get votes passed in the commons. Corbyn has the rational position, and it's best it stays that way: “I fully understand the many, many aspects of Irish history and I find Irish history absolutely fascinating... I don’t see any possibility of Sinn Fein taking their seats. . .[I’ve] been asked 100 times the question, have we done deals with anybody? No. Are we forming a coalition? No. Will we put our programme to parliament? Yes..."

He's got the numbers to beat the conservatives now, we just need to wait for them to crumble and call another election.

I agree with a lot of what you say, but this puzzles me. I do not think it would make sense for them to call another election until after 2019 when the Brexit negotiations have been settled, which they are bound to screw up. Then, they can drop Jezza in the mess that they created and blame all the bad things that happen on the Labour govt.

We must make sure that this doesn't happen. I don't know how though.
