French Parliamentary Elections in June

Post by NonZeroSum »

Still all to play for in the parliamentary elections in June. This is by no means a perfect cross-over but try to imagine:

Gary Johnson just got elected President of the Republic, but representatives aren't getting chosen for another month.

A bunch of young Libertarians put forward a few candidates in the big cities knowing they won't get much support being inexperienced but give it a go anyhow asking for you to vote in their representatives to support Gary Johnson's mandate.

Paul Ryan says it's the Republicans time to shine and are the most natural ally with Johnson, they were expected to win the presidency but got held back in scandal over Trump's tax returns getting leaked.

Chuck Schumer is asking that Johnson please use their party as a puppet to do whatever bidding Johnson likes, they would just like power back.

Bernie's representatives are in opposition to almost all of Johnson's economic policies so if you vote for his France Unbowed Party you get a strong party of opposition who will be able to rally popular support against some of Johnson's most extreme libertarian economic policies.

Trump has split off from the Republican party with the Fundamentalist Christian Coalition and Military First Neoconservatives caucus and formed a new National Front party that still has broad support and backing from the KKK. Promises to be the new party of opposition.

Assuming you're rational, do you vote Republican, Democrat or Democratic Socialist?

Parties are ranked according to their current polling, but En March and France Unbowed movements face considerable challenges having never fielded representatives before. I predict the republicans will go back into first place because they were predicted to win the presidency before their leader Fillon got bogged down in scandal.

You're allowed to change you're vote as the race goes on so vote now, if editing is allowed I'll change the order according to national opinion polling as well.

Despite Hamon giving the Socialist party an initial boost, he isn't likely to be able to boot out a whole field of establishment parliamentary representatives, so will likely receive the same unfavorable rating as the Holland government they presided over.
