If you are a Pure Land Buddhist, debate rages on. The Orthodox sect believes her is a Buddha in the afterlife and the Pure land is a heaven. The rational sect see's the Buddha as a awakening to truth and reality, pure land, purification in the mind of enlightenment.
They say, "When I die, I am going to the PL"
We say, when you die, that is not what we believe. Even so, The Buddha would not answer about the Afterlife. So, goes with saying:
1. They, like Christians, are never able to prove their beliefs. They can't expedite their cosmic sock puppet, and not prove their heaven exists.
2. Like Christians they have nothing nor do they feel compelled to provide evidence.
I would like to counter that. Can we say, since you brought it up and we do not believe we feel you have too. Anyone with a better retort?
