Maybe you should try being open-minded.

That assumption was correct. In the context of the Internet, a forum is usually defined as such:death_by_rage wrote:I get it now... See I was under the assumption that this was a forum.

Do you define forum as something else? What is it?
Most actual cults silence opposition and discourage discussion. This is a free speech forum based on the exchange of ideas, not an echo chamber built for circle jerking.death_by_rage wrote:But, after reading this definition... ("a misplaced or excessive admiration for a particular person or thing."), I discovered what this place really is.
Spoiler alert: that's the definition for "cult"
If provided with sufficient evidence or reasoning, I would stop being vegan. Most of us here are willing to change our minds if proven wrong. Are you?death_by_rage wrote:And the "thing" that you have excessive admiration for would be veganism.
Your happiness and lack of regrets says nothing about the validity of your ideas or reasoning.death_by_rage wrote:I am happy with how I live my life. I have no regrets.
With the same logic, the given example is acceptable:
Barry the Chopper chops up people for fun. He has no regrets and is very happy with his life. Therefore, we shouldn't criticize Barry's ideas and reasoning.

I apologize for DBR's naivete. He's not a bad person, just a bit impetuous..

^You bear no responsibility for what other people say.
I don't think he's naive, though... just a dick.
He is a bad person, because he is aware that he tortures/kills animals but is too closed-minded to change, and because he encourages people to kill themselves.

I think I can explain why Chris is being such a toddler.
First of all, Chris came onto the forum thinking he was hot shit, and thinking that his opinion would never be changed, and that he would dominate the forum. One should be weary of such arrogance going to their head, since it can do a number on your credibility. So when he lost a debate (to people half his age) he acted like a toddler, and blamed this primarily on me, claiming I only invited him to show off (not sure what it was).

He should care more about what's actually true than winning a debate. >.<

Wait...RedAppleGP wrote:to people half his age
You and Chris are friends, so I'm guessing you're around the same age. I recall you stated that you're around 16. So, do you think EquALLity, brimstoneSalad, inator, and I are around 8 or was this an error on your part?

Chris is like thirty or something, apparently.
Red is fourteen though (it's on his profile).

So, in conclusion, suicide in of itself may be selfish, but that doesn't necessarily make the person selfish.
