Things you are still bitter about

Post by Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz »

In this thread, we will be discussing things that even after so long, we feel bitter about.

And here is what I am still bitter about even though it happened many months ago: The fact that Benoit Hamon did not win the French presidential election.

The English-speaking media's treatment of Hamon was absolutely appalling. They never even mentioned him! You would have thought that Le Pen, Macron, Melenchon and Fillon were the only candidates running! The only mention I saw of Hamon since he won the Socialist Party nomination, was in a BuzzFeed article, and because it was BuzzFeed, of course they did not mention any of Hamon's actual policies, instead they just showed a few pictures of him pulling some funny faces.

And Channel 4 News (I think it was them, although it could have been ITV or BBC news) referred to Melenchon as the "French Bernie Sanders"! What a ridiculously stupid thing to say!! Are they seriously thinking Melenchon's radical communist policies are more similar to Bernie than Hamon's social democratic policies?

And the media cradled Macron like a newborn kitten! He was a deity to them, they fuelled his narcissism, calling him a brilliant populist outsider. Like heck he was a populist outsider! Populist outsider, my foot! A former Rothschild banker!!! Hamon (and to a lesser extent Melenchon) were the only real populist outsiders! Not Macron the liberal slug, or Le Pen the racist snail.

And apparently the reason Hamon lost was because he was a representative of the Socialist Party, which was also Hollande's party, and the French people were dissatisfied with the Hollande govt. Well, whoever didn't vote for Hamon because of that reason is the stupidest moron in the history of mankind! Hamon openly condemned Hollande's neoliberal policies and the Socialist Party's abandonment of socialism. Meanwhile, Macron is going to continue Hollande's policies and he won the bleeding election!

Alas, Hamon, you are truly a modern-day Napoleon Bonaparte. And like Napoleon, history will show that you were right all along. Until then, keep fighting the good fight for a socialist new world order! HAMON FOR PRESIDENT IN 2022!

Anyway, that was just something I wanted to get off of my chest.

If anybody has anything they are bitter about and want to vent out, please be my guest.
