Rating Red's Super Mario Accapella

5/10

I'm pretty sure that he's using autotune but if not then he has a "nice" voice which I could see being akin to other male pop idols. The melody is cool and all, but it got to be too much of the same (or nearly the same) stuff and the acappella aspect made it more of a novelty, but due to its length it was a novelty which overstayed its welcome which is worse to me than a regular song being overlong.

Shit.. that song made me feel kinda cold. Not that it was bad, it was great, but I feel cold.. everything, the guitar and vocals, felt so precise yet short lived.

Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast

7.5/10

A very good, solid Maiden song with great guitars and vocals. Tasteful guitar solos too. Though it's among my least favourite tracks from the album of its name. Maybe mostly because I overplayed it and am now a little sick of it. Still a good, solid song.

Dissection - Dark Mother Divine (Reinkaos)
3\10

Not my favorite. The first 45 seconds are great, then when the voice breaks in, the beat and melody simplify and the dynamics disappear. 3 minutes later it finally changes up, but it just switches to another stereotypical metal pattern.

I probably shouldn't be rating this song. Death\Black Metal is one of the few genres I have trouble enjoying. It all sounds so similar to me. I'm sure there is a lot there for those who enjoy it though.

Better than 95% of the crap I hear on MTV but I didn't find it very exciting. The guitar riff was pleasant and the guy had an ok voice but I never thought the song took off. It kind of went nowhere.

She has a really good singing voice. There's nice, mellow classical guitar which was nice. I think if I was in a fitting mood for the nice mellowness of the song that I wouldn't find the repetitiveness bothersome, but I wasn't quite in the mood for this and found it to be a bit too simple and repetitive for my taste.

While I generally like the song, and it quickly goes from light to heavy, it's far too long. Cut out 6 minutes and it'd be a 7.8.

I really found this novelty song grating and cringeworthy. The shouted vocals were obnoxious and annoying, the lyrics juvenile. The instruments were simple and boring.

Now here's a really, really heavy song. ;)

Tetravirulence (Pestilentiam Intus Vocamus, Voluntatem Absolvimus Part III)

I don't know man... I just don't know. It sounded like static to me. I would rate it a 1-2\10 but I don't have the death metal module in my brain that can decipher that. Maybe someone else should look at that one.
