@EquALLity, that makes sense about your thread, I'll make a post with my opinion on it in there soon.
Edit: when looking at the replies the thread got, I don't think there's much more I could add. I agree with them that it wouldn't be an ideal setting for fulfilling interests, though it wouldn't be an awful setting either.
Also, yes, that song is 14 min, so I don't blame you for skipping it.
@PsYcHo, I really don't like this song. It's so much of what I dislike about alternative metal. Really awkward, whiny vocals and pseudo-hardcore passages, with really simple and boring instrumentals. It isn't horrible, but there's nothing I like about it. 3/10
Here's a song with female vocals that I like.

Well, I was going to say: Holy shit, PsYcHo. O_O
That's pretty much all I was going to say though, so it's fine.
Yay, great. Like I said, I appreciate your opinion, even if you haven't read the book.
Your song:
I feel like this is a song I would like if I could get into it. But I don't really have the patience? I don't know. It's slow for me - the lyrics take awhile to come in and they don't happen in long intervals, and the instrumentals don't really get active enough for me. The lyrics were pretty poetic though, albeit hard to understand.

She's clearly a very good singer, but I can't help but find this song very boring. 5/10

Re: Rate the Song Above You
@EquALLity, the song by Ruth B. has good vocals. She definitely has talent there. The piano supports her voice as would be expected, playing the right supporting chords, but unfortunately does little else. As a result I feel that this song doesn't have much substance and isn't very interesting over its duration. 5/10.
@miniboes, my Mom's a fan of some of this guy's work and I've liked some of what I've heard before from him. It has some good though not outstanding bluesy vocals and vibes going. The clean guitar has some very good parts especially from 2/3rds of the way through until the end. The other instruments do good work supporting the leads. The spoken part about 2/3rds of the way through was also interesting. 7/10
Here's another song involving Peter Pan/Neverland.

Apparently Ireland gave them 12 points! Insane. I'm going with 0.miniboes wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBAdOlQPbwgRedAppleGP wrote:4/10 too metal, yet simultaneously really really gay.

Although not as bad as your average Nickelback song, lol.
Speaking of Canadian pop, being a Canadian I have to share this one:

The video is so corny it could only be Canadian. But I love the song because I'm that basic.

Re: Rate the Song Above You
It seems like pretty generic indie pop. Many parts are catchy, but half of them, particularly the vocals are so in a bad way. I like that lead instrument which may be some string instrument with effects or synth thing, I can't tell. Overrall it's decent, but there isn't anything to it that's above average to me. 5/10
