To anyone who makes vegetable soup at home,

There is a little appreciated vegetable (or is it a tuber, I'm too lazy to google it right now) that is a must for vegetable soup. Rutabaga. Damn thing looks like a rock, and requires a chainsaw (not literally, but almost) to cut, but wow. It has the texture of a potato, but adds a mildly sour-ish flavor that brings everything together. DON'T be lazy and get the canned (assuming you can find them). Fresh adds an entire new dimension to soups. Plus, if you are adventurous, try slicing one up and cooking like mashed potatoes (it will take a bit longer) add a little sea salt and pepper, rough mash, and enjoy. (They are hard as rocks though, so a sharp knife is needed. Worth it. Exercise and nutrition!)

Dear Universe,

We almost died, our business is now over, but we didn't die. Unlikely series of events, that if they had progressed normally, I wouldn't have been where I was to stop what happened, but I was, and we didn't, and by another miracle (at least to me) I actually hadn't drank all my whiskey the day before, so when coming home I had something to drink to calm me down.

Fuck a cigarette, after this day I need a cigar.

Dear makers of "Corpse Party" video game,

Depraved game, and while not a ten, I'd say a solid seven for gameplay. (Mainly due to the extras). While the game was decent, it saved at least two, and likely more lives a few weeks ago. This may sound figurative, but is in fact quite literal, as the only reason I was up when the "incident" happened was because of this game. Hmm, I should check to see if there are more like it..

Alive and thankful,

PsYcHo

Dear L,

I know that pecan pie you bought is likely for Thanksgiving, but I think I'm going to make sure it's suitable for human consumption. One slice should ensure our guests won't die. and if pecan pie is not Vegan friendly, no one better tell me.

Also,

Dear fellow Forum Members,

This thread isn't PsYcHo's diary, it's for saying anything to anyone that you didn't/wouldn't say in real life. It's in the Fun section for a reason, but if you want to be serious go ahead. I discourage anyone replying to posts here, because then it becomes a debate, but sometimes people do. Engage with them if you'd like, ignore them if you just want to say something without talking about it.

(Join in; you could write an open letter to PsYcHo, and he wouldn't respond if that helps... )

Before I had a chance to eat that pie, someone else did! :o

I should eat a piece of that pie, then see if I can track the perpetrator. (I've been reading Arthur Conan Doyle lately, so my deductive reasoning skills are sharpened!)

I'm on the case! 8-)

Dear PsYcHo

I have to tell you. As Carl Sagan put it:

"Better the hard truth, I say, than the comforting fantasy."

Pecan Pie is not vegan friendly. You use eggs to get it. However there is a vegan version of it:

Dear Moon Jae-in,

Please do as you campaigned and try and find a peaceful solution to the Korean conflict. You need to advance the Sunshine policy and stop being so friendly with the orange dotard.

Ask yourself with everything you do - "Would Kim Dae-jung be proud of me if he could see me right now?"

You said your first visit if elected President would be to the DPRK - visit the DPRK soon!

Yours with love,

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I know it may be unlikely you'll see this but there is some chance you might be browsing a vegan forum, considering becoming vegan. I know you are opposed to the dog meat trade.

The fact that it isn't doesn't bother me as much as your determination to go out of your way to inform me. (I'm not Vegan, remember. I'm just Vegan friendly..)

You're an ass.

But I do appreciate honesty in the face of delusion, so........

Thanks,....ass. ;) (I will use your firstborn as an ornament upon my sacrificial wedding pyre.)

Dear PsYcHo,

I apologize. I understand that you are pesces. I did not know that permitted eggs as well as fish.

I also apologize for the fact that I do not intend to have children, so you can't use any as an ornament.

I have many household ornaments: I have a Buddha statue and a Budai (or "Laughing Buddha") statue. I am not a Buddhist any more but I had them given to me as gifts.

I also have a miniature "Statue of Liberty", a miniature "Fernsehtum", and a very nice pig statue.

I can send these over for your sacrificial wedding pyre. I don't know exactly what that is. I imagine you are getting married but also killing something. If that is the case, I don't think that that is vegan either. I am sorry for telling you that.

I'm not even a vegan. I eat oysters. They are yummy.

Kind regards,

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

P.S. You should go Vegan. Fish feel pain.

P.P.S. You hate taxes, so you ought to know that they are abolished in the DPRK.
