Re: Do you believe the moon landing was faked?

Your point about the Russians is spot on! That's the main reason I can't get behind the "moon landing was faked" crowd. It makes no sense. Right. After faking the first man in orbit, the Ruskies would totally call bullshit on the moon landing. Oh wait... no they wouldn't. Enjoy this hilarious miles...

Intro to Veganism: best video?

Hello there folks, thinking about summoning an open talk about Veganism focused on unsuspecting non-vegans; and kicking it off with a video. The question for you is: which video clip(s) or short film(s) would YOU choose? Has to be in English and/or have subtitles available. I'm thinking it shouldn't...

Re: Relating to non-vegans

Hi Sam, I feel you brother, I really do. Struggling with the same thing. I have arrived at the conclusion that people always do what they must. When the time is right, the change will come about. Have no doubt you're doing your friends and acquaintances a huge favor just by being there and being see...

Re: Is taxation theft?

I can't comprehend how forcing anyone to do "good" is moral. The most painful part is that most of the taxes have nothing to do with "doing good". Agriculture subsidies, weapons, overproduction, deforestation, desertification, fueling an environmental catastrophe, ... that is what we pay for with e...

Given the short life, the tragic death which probably involved a great deal of fear, the sorrow experienced by the cow's friends, I think it is safe to conclude that it would have been better if the cow had never lived at all.
Seriously?
Who would even ask? Isn't this as clear as day?

Re: Is taxation theft?

@Lay How do investments in public roads and highways reduce fatal accidents? (I should add that I am not exactly against roadbuilding as such. It has some benefits to human life that could be probably debated and questioned. It has many unquestionable downsides. Definitely not a good thing from a gr...

Re: Eating non-vegan food that’s going to waste

It might be better to give them another chance this time and take it to go to give away, then they at least know they'll get paid today (if they can get it right). It might make them more likely to accept giving you the mess-up for free. Agree. Just that pain of giving away that food, looking for a...

Re: Is taxation theft?

Is taxation theft? If yes; Why? Does taxation being theft even matter if its purpose to is prevent the erosion of the social oder? Do the actions of the government justify its "theft" if it brings good consequences? If it is theft and it is wrong, should all taxation be abolished? Yes, taxation is ...

Re: vegans and antropomorphism

what authority are vegans to tell others what is right or wrong? However bad it might look, people present their opinions in this forum. People let you see the world through their eyes, is all. Authority can only exist where there is subservience respecting it. There is no authority in my world to ...

Re: Hi! Negative Utilitarian, Transhumanist, Atheist Ostrovegan here!

I have a cat who is not on a vegan diet. I don't think I have a moral right to pay for other animals to be tortured to feed him, but I do. Hey there! I would like to suggest to make your cat a freegan :) all it takes is one source of free leftover (probably preferably raw) meat. You can turn to dum...
