Re: New lurker

Don't know about rest of Europe, but Czech republic don't have Whole foods chain. But there are many other brands (do you know for example Country life?). I also live in big city, so there is no problem to be a vegan. There are at least 10 places where I can eat within 10 minute walk from my workpla...

Re: Question for all vegans!

I have read articles saying that it's difficult to blame the consumption of meat for something as large-scale as climate change. There are many other factors which contribute to climate change, and if veganism was based purely on environmental reasons you would have to control all of them... which ...

Re: YouTube channel deliberation

I think in general the rational vegan pool on youtube is rather shallow; Unnatural Vegan and TVA are great but greatly outnumbered. We seriously need another rational vegan Youtuber. Unnatural vegan post less videos lately and they are not focused on nutrition as they used to be. I don't blame her ...

Re: Question for all vegans!

Your other reasons I had heard before - factories, environment, health, etc. I do have some arguments against them, but then again my aim here isn't to start an argument haha. And I'm pretty sure you guys are way more educated than me so I don't dare try! Please share your arguments against. Person...

Re: Hi! I am French from Paris and new to veganism :-)

Unfortunately that is a big achievement of meat and dairy industry. They pour loads of money into advertising and in the same time they are subsidized by governments... It's a lie we all grew up in... Situation is same in Czech republic. Most of advertisements (even those not advertising food) conta...

Yes, exactly :) You can find this kind of curve shapes in chemistry for example. It describes the so called "activation energy", the energy needed for a reaction to happened. If you wanted to push a rock all down the curve, you would need to give it a bit of energy to pass the first hill. To me it ...

Re: Who will a Deep Web?

It kind of attracts me to explore new areas, but at same time I'm not prepared for what can be seen there and really afraid about my digital security so I probably won't ever do it. There are some videos on youtube with stories about Deep Web, but there are made up. From one of them i remembered sen...

It's great to see, that these popular challenges actually works and people stay vegan after them. What was your motive to do Veganuary and what convinced you to stay vegan?

Re: Former Impressions On Veganism

My impressions were, that vegans are always too thin, have no muscles and bones showing and can eat only fruit and vegetables. It was quick conclusion based on only two vegans i met back in that days (didn't even talk to them) and it stick for ten years. Then my SO became vegan and shortly after tha...
