Re: What kind of water do you drink?

I was drinking D2O, but then I grew an extra arm for some reason... So now I stick with the H2O that comes out of the tap. The tap water here isn't too too bad.

Looks like Alex may be going vegan, he is asking meat eaters for proper justification for what we do to animals...

Re: Boiled Peanuts

How would you get the peanut protein to bind and form a single mass? I am curious, as it would be interesting to make a homemade cashew mock meat. For now I guess I will have to stick to seitan :)

Re: Definition of vegan vs. follower of veganism

Personally I like how Wikipedia puts it, "... and an associated philosophy that rejects the commodity status of animals". That plus the "possible and practicable" in the definition proper seems like the whole encompassing idea of what the word "vegan" means. So for instance, eating roadkill would pr...

Re: Honey; Vegan or no?

As far as the poll, you could add answers for vegans and non vegans. IE "I am a vegan, but think it is vegan" then "I am not a vegan and thin it is vegan" etc. When it comes the other stuff in there, I do not have the data at my side, but from what I remember, replacing their natural food with sugar...

Re: Honey; Vegan or no?

Can't answer your poll as it is set up to be ambiguous. If it was stated as "Is honey Vegan?" I could answer it. In that vein, no it isn't vegan as it exploits a sentient being, and causes harm (stealing their winter food stores and replacing it with high fructose corn syrup). I know that most do no...

Re: Sitting Down for the Pledge of Allegiance?

I got in trouble in elementary school for not doing the pledge, as it contained the word god in it. The next day, seemingly like magic, we never did the pledge in class again, and it turned out that none of the other classes did either. Guess my mother was incensed and prolly screamed at the princip...

Re: Carrots and vitamin A overload

Cronometer lets you set your own min/max values for each item. I suggest you look in to the WHO max for some of this stuff and change cronometer's values to those. AFAIK, there is no real "OD" for B vitamins as they are water soluble.
