Re: Is it risky for babies to be vegan?

OK, updated forum rules. What do you think? Lay Vegan Lightningman_42 Jebus Red The "spamming" section is nicely designed. The spamming process (steps 1-5) described in quotes does appear reminiscent of your interactions with a particular conspiracy theorist, repeatedly demanding impossible standar...

Re: Is it risky for babies to be vegan?

It always seems to go the same way. 1. Somebody expresses concerns 2. He chimes in about how risky veganism is 3. One of us is compelled to explain that's not consensus among professionals, lest people be misled 4. He claims whatever source we cite isn't credible and alleges a grand vegan conspirac...

Re: Are you surprised/disappointed by the slow spread of veganism?

I think that part of the problem (slow growth) is veganism's perceived ties to psuedo-science natural healing nonsense. I can't think of a vegan festival that i've been to that doesn't include spine adjusters, crystal healers, or some other non-scientific mumbo jumbo. TheVeganAtheist! So happy to h...

The Israel-Palestine Conflict: The Islamic War on Israel

I've been wanting to learn more about the history of this conflict, and so today I watched this video by Apostate Prophet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnR4c38gIgM Have any of you seen this video? If so, then what do you think of it? Is it an accurate summary of the history of the conflict? Do yo...

Re: What are you listening to?

Anyone familiar with The HU? It is a folk-rock band in Mongolia, and they have two songs on YouTube. I discovered them just yesterday. I also like Khusugtun and Boerte. They perform with traditional instruments, whereas The HU blends traditional instruments (and throat-singing) with electric guitar,...

Is everything I know about obesity wrong?

For a long time now I've been under the impression that people are more likely to develop certain health problems if they are overweight. Furthermore, the more excess weight people develop, the greater their risks are, and the more severe their health problems become. Does obesity promote risk of de...

Re: Best Charities to Donate to?

Hi Red, thank you for your response. I simply got money from my parents, so I will give to an organization once I've made up my mind. I'll let you know what I choose.

Best Charities to Donate to?

Hello everyone, so my birthday is coming up in 4 days, and as always my parents have asked me what they could get me. I can't think of any physical objects for myself that I want, and so I've been thinking: Why not just ask them to donate money to a charity of my choice? I care about effective altru...

Re: What are you listening to?

I've been listening to Heilung a lot recently (name means "healing" in German). A rather unique style of music that I haven't heard before. Dreamsphere, do you know of any bands with a style similar to that of Heilung?

My favorite songs so far are Othan, Futhorck, Alfadhirhaiti, and Krigsgaldr.

If you've posted on, lurked about, or even heard about this forum, chances are you're familiar with brimstoneSalad.
